Marcus Koch is a Director, and Special EFX Master known for “100 Tears”, “ROT”, “Fell”, and most recently “Hi-8″ (Horror Independent 8) (segment “A Very Bad Situation”). “AMERICAN GUINEA PIG: BLOODSHOCK” Synopsis:
BLOODSHOCK: Verb, Pronounced [bluhd-shok] 1. A surgical term used for a heavily mutilated or a surgical patient whose body releases a massive amount of serotonin, adrenaline and cortisol with certain growth hormones into the blood stream. The trauma event causes seizures, hallucinations, convulsionsand can include heart palpitations, collapsed lungs and severe tongue trauma due to the teeth.

Patients whose blood readings in Bloodshock levels should be taken with the most extreme care. Self mutilation, psychosis and ultimately, autopsies reveal that human patients, unlike their animal counterparts, withstand more physical damage and mental trauma. Bloodshock levels are extreme and blood work should be done immediately if one thinks the patient is in danger.

Neurosecretory cells in the hypothalamus transmit a signal to the pituitary gland inciting cells to release a chemical messenger into the bloodstream. Blood at this level is filled with too many variables to chart but as the years go by, surgeons worldwide are coming closer to understanding the bodies reaction to pain, violence and mental trauma.

The understanding of Bloodshock is in it's infancy. The amount of changes in blood, the regular and the irregular during physical trauma or even the hint of bodily harm can trigger different chemical compositions that affect and possibly, effect the human body is outstanding.

Research is needed to learn more of this irregularity in the human body.

“…akin to smashing your teeth into the coffee table for ninety minutes.”

The first words on Schneider’s work by Rue Morgue Magazine was regarding his debut feature, My Crepitus/I Never Left The White Room. They classified a style that would evolve over time, some have called it: surrealist psychological retro-gore. Being awarded Best Cinematography and Best Horror Short shocked A Tribute to Sanity to New York International Independent Film Festival screens. The notorious and confrontational August Underground’s Mordum was hailed an instant classic. Banned from the public, Grotesque Fantasies is an experimental documentary following Schneider and fiends on their artistic exploits. Combining 80’s horror themes with an elaborate film process called Life-O-Vision is Opening the Mind. Continuing to venture back to the way films used to be made, …AND THEN I HELPED is a splatter romp set in 1976. LET’S MAKE A.. HORROR MOVIE combines all learned into one autobiographical experience that blurs the line between celluloid and reality. A cerebral collaboration with Tyler Tharpe (Return in Red, Freak) brings two stories into an exploitation popcorn haven with DOUBLE DOSE OF TERROR!! A man hating clan of women feast towards the ‘ultimate’ in Manna.
