Murder Red Ink

"Murder Red Ink, is fast moving and the reader needs to think on their feet. Don't try and get ahead of the author because you can't do it."

"Wonderful novel, tantalizing plot and theories, and another great story from this author. Keep 'em coming!"

"Murder Red Ink delivered on plot and characters. This book was creepy and suspenseful. It will have you sleeping with the night light on. Looking forward to his followup work."

"This was my first Mord McGhee story, and I felt like I was missing a private joke to some extent. This is a gripping story that makes you ponder what you think you know about the Ripper. Now I gotta go back and read McGhee's other work."

"Parts of it are very creepy and disturbing. Kind of a Thomas Harris feel to them. I actually put the book down once with a shudder and walked away. Got a drink of water and came right back because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. No, I didn't just want to know... I HAD to know!"

So what's this creepy and disturbing book about...

JACK THE RIPPER: THE EXPERIENCE

Second novel by 2014 POYNTER'S GLOBAL EBOOK AWARD WINNING author MORD MCGHEE.

MURDER RED INK is nominee for reddit.com and critters.org Horror Novel of the Year and is a terrifying, stomach churning exploration into the 1888 Whitechapel serial killer known today as Jack the Ripper.  Everything you thought you knew about JACK THE RIPPER, JFK, and MODERN HISTORY is sliced from ear to ear by the twisted mind of this "refreshing author to watch!"

Something's gone wrong with PoltergeistG2. Erich is reliving the past, his sleep tormented by nightmares so real... so horrifying that he is willing to walk away and never look back. But the Ripper has other ideas.

Allena's grandfather was a modern day monster responsible for killing the innocent and selling their organs on the black market. She wants nothing to do with him, but the Ripper has other ideas...

MURDER RED INK is a mind-bending sci-horror novel that gives a stunning voice to the past and shapes the future into something darker than the elder gods of H. P. Lovecraft or the Yellow King of Ambrose Bierce.

This is a must read…please click the pic and get your copy…

4 Year Anniversary!

August 14, 2009 will always be a special day for me. It was when I went from being a just horror fan watching horror movies to a participant in the world of horror. It was when I created HorrO’s Gory Reviews, and formally introduced myself to the horror world as HorrO. Go figure my first review wasn’t even a horror movie, but a sci-fi one (District 9). Hey, I was a rookie, plus I got to see the movie before its official release. I’ve gone from being a rookie to creating HorrO’s House of Horror, and couldn’t be happier about it. Now if you will bear with me for a little self-promotion, and some “thank-you’s.”

I want to celebrate HorrO’s Gory Reviews’ 6-year anniversary by thanking all those who have taken the time to read at least one review. It means something to know someone has read your work. I certainly want to thank those who have been with me from the beginning because without you there might not have been even a second or third year anniversary.

For those reading this at PromoteHorror.com and aren’t aware of my review blog, please take a minute and check it out. Besides reviews, it’s also a place for some other horror fun with pages like the ‘Horror on TV,’ ‘iPhone Horror Apps of the Month,’ and ‘Horror Item of the Week.’ Please feel free to follow me on Twitter under @Horrosreviews, and “Like” the Facebook page.

Not celebrating an anniversary is my second site: The Dog Days in Zombieville. This is the story I wrote and decided to make a Twitter story. The story was tweeted first, and then posted on the site. The Dog Days in Zombieville is the journal of Max Wagner, as he has documented his fight for survival in Zombieville. Honestly, with my time spent on promoting horror, I haven’t been able to finish the story. Max isn’t dead, and the story will continue at some point. For those who want to check it out, there are links on the site so that you can start reading from the beginning. Also, there are some other zombie related pages such as, ‘Zombie Pics,’ ‘Zombie iPhone Apps,’ and ‘Star Wars Zombies.’ If you want to follow the story on Twitter, you can find it under @ddnzombieville, and “Like” the Facebook page.

And now for the big one: the 4-year anniversary of PromoteHorror.com. Yes, HorrO’s Gory Reviews is older, but I say big one here because of the overwhelming support for PromoteHorror.com. It has been more than I could have ever imagined. With that said, I have to thank everyone who has requested a promotion, or as I like to call you “creators of horror.” The site wouldn’t exist without those requests. I continue to be amazed at how many creators of horror there are out there. Every time I think I’ve seen it all, someone gives me the opportunity to promote something I would never have thought of.

Secondly, I have to thank all of the horror fans out there. The creators of horror need an audience, and you have provided that in a big way. Someone has to enjoy the promotions after all. I hope you all have found something to your liking. It’s truly an honor to see so many of you repeatedly visit the site, follow along on Twitter under @PromoteHorror, “Like” the Facebook page, and follow on Instagram.

I never thought I would be here 4 years later. I also never thought PromoteHorror.com would help so many people. I honestly feel that if I walked away from it now I know I had some impact in the horror world even if it was small one. I don’t say that to be arrogant, but to prove to myself that I haven’t wasted my time. I know I helped someone make a movie. I know I helped someone sell a book. I know I helped someone get their project funded. I know I helped someone get their artwork seen. I know I helped get short films noticed. I know I helped podcasts get heard. That’s what “Spread the Horror” means when I repeatedly mention it.

With 6 years of reviews and 4 years of promotions down, I’m eager to continue reviewing, and spreading the horror. I’m not sure what the future holds, but I will continue to do this as long as I can, and as long as the horror world will have me. From a creator of horror and horror fan myself; I truly appreciate the support, and all of the compliments that I’ve received. Like I said, this wouldn’t be anything without all of you great creators of horror, and the passionate horror fans out there. The compliments really go to you!

Thank you!!!

Stunning Emmanuelle sizzled all summer as Niko in a six-episode guest role on the third season of ABC’s/CTV’s MistressesNiko was a role that Emmanuelle enjoyed playing as tough, sexy and rocks a very distinctive style and doesn’t care what you think about it. She played the new mixologist at Wunderbar and a thorn in Joss’ (Jes Macallan) side. Mistresses airs on Thursday nights at 9pm on ABC and CTV.

Emmanuelle is best known for her popular role as Charlie Sheen’s ex-fiancée Mia on the award-winning CBS comedy Two and a Half Men in which her character returned for the series finale earlier this year. Emmanuelle also stars inAbsolute Deception alongside Cuba Gooding Jr.

Off-screen, Emmanuelle is an avid animal lover. A project that is very close to her heart is her own 501c3 charitable foundation ‘The Fluffball’, which raises money for various animal charities through her annual cocktail event. This year ‘The Fluffball’ will be held in Los Angeles on October 3rd 2015 and the recipient this year is The Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation.

A dedicated equestrian Emmanuelle competes on a horse rescued from a situation of neglect. Emmanuelle paints to express her creativity and contributes a major portion of her sales to the many charitable animal rescue organizations she supports.

Emmanuelle’s inner and outer beauty shines through as she is among the select group of women to be on ‘Maxim‘s Top 100’ list twice. She was also named fifth on Femme Fatal magazine’s 50 Sexiest Women on the Planet’, and was named ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ for the sixth time by Smartasses Magazine. Malus Domestica

It's been five years since Robin Martine's father threw her mother Annie off the second-floor balcony and broke her neck.

Five long years since Robin was locked away in a mental hospital for telling the authorities that the murder was caused by a witch. A witch named Marilyn Cutty.

Three years ago, a man named Heinrich Hammer came for her.

"I'll get you out of here . . . but you'll have to kill."

Now a veteran witch-hunter and YouTube star, Robin has come back to town to settle up with the coven that stole her life from her. But she'll have to fight through Heaven, Hell and everything in between if she wants to free her mother's spirit from Cutty's soul-sucking apple tree and end the witches' reign over the town of Blackfield once and for all.

This book is getting great reviews like these…

"This is an excellent example of the dark fantasy genre, with plenty of scares in there to appeal to true horror readers. The world-building is beautifully executed with interesting foes and not an info-dump in sight. The characters are thoroughly fleshed out and believable with motivations and histories that add to the carefully-paced plot. I couldn't put this book down and found myself being dragged deeper and deeper into this twisted world that just gets more interesting.

That all comes together to form an engaging, thrilling, dark, and twisted read that will drag in those who love Steven King and related authors."

"The best way I can summarize this book is Salem's Lot had a love child with both Jack Reacher and Supernatural. It is a mix of dark fantasy, horror, and occult in the best way possible.”

“This book didn't take long to become a favorite. If you have any interest in dark fiction, occult, or anything along the lines of Supernatural, then you definitely need to check this one out."

"I can't recommend Malus Domestica highly enough for fans of modern horror and thrillers. It's dark, it's meaty, it's satisfying in a way I haven't experienced since NOS4A2. Fingers crossed for a sequel - this novel deserves it."

Horror Movie Melany Rose Seeks to Raise Funds Through Crowdfunding

Pensacola Florida based Zero House Productions has been working to bring the full-length Melany Rose film into reality.  “We found a great cast and crew,” shares director/writer Javan Garza, “but as we headed into production we knew we would need additional financial support to make the movie we want to make.”

Melany Rose is a take on Project MKUltra, a government funded mind control program operated covertly through the CIA.  “I wanted to take those concepts about human experimentation and twist them into a present-day atmospheric horror movie,” says Garza.

“We landed on a great location in southern Alabama, have a cast I have the up most confidence in, and have a growing crew of dedicated professionals – but it gets expensive fast to make a full-length movie.  From costumes, special effects, and dressing out the location space – everything that is shown on screen has a price tag,” states Garza of the filmmaking process.  “Then logistic issues like generators, additional production gear, even down to having food and water on set – so many pieces come together behind the scenes too.”

With that, an Indiegogo campaign has been launched to support Melany Rose.  Perks range from a $1 contribution which gets an official ‘thank you’ in the film’s credits to posters, scripts, t-shirts, and even an opportunity for an official producer credit.

“I am grateful to be surrounded by amazingly creative people.  We want every of angle of Melany Rose, from the music to the lighting to be our best foot forward.  I’d like to encourage everyone to take a moment and follow us across social media, invite your friends to do the same, and help us get the word of mouth moving.”

Garza remarks about how the film and entertainment community is continuously growing – and how supporting current genre geared projects can make all the difference in supporting indie filmmakers.  “Most indie movies are true labors of love – we do this because we want to make a story that we believe is worth telling.  And we hope you feel the same way about Melany Rose."
