J.G Clay Announces the Release of Horror Book “Tales Of Blood and Sulphur”

Rothwell, Northamptonshire – Terminal Publication are proud to offer thedebut work from J.G Clay, Tales of Blood and Sulphur, now available for the Kindle, Kindle Fire, iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, Sony Reader, Barnes & Noble Nook and Kobo.

Tales of Blood and Sulphur is a compelling collection of dark fiction, focused on desire, betrayal, survival, and greed with some demons and zombies thrown in.

The seven short stories follow a gambler so desperate to escape from his demons that he takes refuge on an isolated island, a corrupt Pastor selling lives and body parts for his own gain, a writer ho attracts some help from beyond and a desperate man trying to survive the Zombie Apocalypse. Laced with dark themes, grim humor and pop culture references, J.G’s style pays homage to his heroes Stephen King and Clive Barker whilst speaking in a voice uniquely his own. The 40 year old Rothwell resident is not one for resting on his laurels, however. He is currently starting work on his second collection, A Carnival of Monsters and also his debut novel, H.A.D.E.S

“The time is ripe for a British voice in horror, one who, rather speaking from the teeming cities, quietly creeps out of rural and provincial Britain with dark tales to tell” – J.G Clay

Terminal Publication is a new publishing imprint specializing in horror, dark fiction and science fiction.

Special Screening of "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter"

Popcorn Nights & O Cinema are proud to present the 30th anniversary of the not quite final, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.

Ahhh, 80’s horror.  Freddy Krueger , Pinhead, Leatherface, Michael Myers,  and of course Jason Voorhees.  Sure, two of those guys first popped up in the 70’s but it was the 80’s where these characters became horror icons.  The ‘Friday the 13th” series released more sequels in the 80′s than any other franchise and with the exception of a couple installments, Jason managed to keep things fun over the years. The fourth Chapter in the series “Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter” is now celebrating its’ 30th anniversary and it is one of my personal favorite Jason films.  Not only does it star a young Corey Feldman and Crispin Glover, but it also is the start of the Tommy Jarvis (Feldman) storyline which continued on in Parts V & VI.  Come see the movie that the late film critic Roger Ebert called “an immoral and reprehensible piece of trash” and enjoy it with me.  I can’t wait to show a Friday the 13th movie on FRIDAY THE 13TH!!!!

Seating is limited, so get your tickets South Florida Horror Fans:

Michael Bartlett's Treehouse Sets its Sights on Cannes and the Film's Official Trailer is Revealed!

Treehouse
“No Kids Allowed!”

Director Michael Bartlett is proud to release the teaser trailer for the suspense thriller Treehouse. This exciting tale, set in the backwoods of Missouri, has opened for international sales this week at the most prestigious film festival in the world, Cannes. Here, the film will screen for buyers. But, editors and journalists can preview the film’s future release, right here!

Bartlett’s film has been adapted to screen from writers Alex Child and Miles Harrington’s original script. The film begins when Elizabeth (Dana Melanie) arrives home from school to witness the abduction of her younger brother. She gives chase and is not seen again. Soon, news breaks to the local community, coinciding with sightings of strange humanoids and animal abductions and mutilations. The town descends into paranoia and a curfew is enforced.  Brothers Killian (J. Michael Trautmann) and Crawford (Daniel Fredrick) stumble upon Elizabeth by chance when sneaking out to party with some local girls and that is when all proverbial hell breaks loose! A confrontation looms between these youths and their hunters.

Treehouse is described by Bartlett as a “siege film…in the same vein as John Carpenter’s Assault on Precinct 13 (1976).” The refuge in the film is an elaborate treehouse, set fifty feet in the forest’s canopy. This set was developed with folding partitions, which allowed cameras to film the action, from multiple angles and levels. As well, Bartlett says of the film: “suspense is built and fear is amplified by what is not seen, or only alluded to.” Viewers of the trailer can gather clues as to the film’s true villain. The rest is left up to your imagination.  Finally, Bartlett hired his crew from the The Signal (2007) and Winter’s Bone(2010) productions, to realize his vision.

Synopsis: The story for Treehouse focuses on missing teenagers and unknown shadows in the localMissouri woods. A brother and sister are kidnapped and two brothers find one of the victims, Elizabeth.Elizabeth is alone and afraid, in an isolated fort; several shadows lurk below. All three classmates will have to face an unimaginable evil, if they are to survive the night.

Release Date: TBA.

Director: Michael Bartlett.

Writers: Alex Child and Miles Harrington.

Cast: J. Michael Trautmann, Dana Melanie and Clint James.

Gas Station Horror

Hosts J. W. Crump and Jordan Hirsch join a group of talented horror-philes to liven up the boring parts of scary B-movies.

Using real horror films purchased in local gas stations and bodegas, the hosts select specific clips to play for 30 seconds, pause, and then ask the improvisers to finish the scene.

Every show features a DVD raffle, movie trivia, fresh clips, and a group of talented performers from UCB, PIT, and the Magnet.

Most shows take place at the Peoples Improv Theater (NY). Check out the Upcoming Shows section to find out when the next Gas Station Horror is premiering.

"Gas Station Horror was hilarious! Besides some free candy and cool horror movie trivia before-hand, the improvisers were incredible. I literally thought I was going to pee in my pants; awesome show, can’t wait to go back and see it again!”

"I love this show. It combines the schlocky acting and student-film grade production of B-movie horror flicks with sharp, witty improv. And they hold raffles throughout the show. You have to love that.”
