Written and Directed by Ti West

Produced by Eli Roth

Starring Joe Swanberg, Amy Seimetz, AJ Bowen, Kate Lyn Sheil, Gene Jones and Kentucker Audley

From acclaimed writer/director Ti West (THE INNKEEPERS, THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL) and master of horror Eli Roth (THE LAST EXORCISM, HOSTEL, CABIN FEVER), THE SACRAMENT follows two Vice Media correspondents as they set out to document their friend's journey to find his missing sister. They travel outside of the United States to an undisclosed location where they are welcomed into the world of "Eden Parish," a self-sustained rural utopia, comprised of nearly two hundred members. At the center of this small, religious, socialist community is a mysterious leader known only as "Father." As their friend reunites with his sister, it becomes apparent to the newcomers that this paradise may not be as it seems. What started as just another documentary shoot soon becomes a race to escape with their lives.

THE SACRAMENT stars Joe Swanberg (YOU'RE NEXT), AJ Bowen (THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL), Kentucker Audley (SUN DON'T SHINE), Amy Seimetz (THE KILLING), and Gene Jones (NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN). The film is written, directed and edited by Ti West (THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL, THE INNKEEPERS) and produced by Eli Roth (THE LAST EXORCISM, HOSTEL, CABIN FEVER), Jacob Jaffke (SLEEPWALK WITH ME), Peter Phok (STAKE LAND), Christopher Woodrow (BLOOD TIES), Molly Conners (KILLER JOE) and Eric Newman (CHILDREN OF MEN).

"Might very well be West’s finest work to date." - Bloody Disgusting

"The ominous, pulsating drone of Bates’ music, the increasing agitation of West’s editing, and the raw, video-reporter edge of Eric Robbins’ nervy camerawork all contribute to manipulate the atmosphere into one of engulfing dread in a film that gets under the skin and stays there." - The Hollywood Reporter

"This slow-burning investigation of unseemly goings-on at a rural Christian commune is frightening in any genre language." - VARIETY

“Solid and smart and well-calibrated.” - HitFix

“The performances are strong across the board.” - Twitch
“Will be one of the more notable titles of the year.” - Twitch

“It is a unique and startling tale that will haunt you for days after you’ve finished it, and boy does it whet your appetite for more from Mr West.” - HorrorTalk

“*****” - Horror Talk

HONEYSPIDER is an upcoming horror feature film from indie filmmakers Josh Hasty and Kenny Caperton. The film takes place in 1989 on Halloween day and follows college student Jackie Blue (Mariah Brown) as she slowly unravels, all while a mysterious stranger watches over her.

HONEYSPIDER is a cult throwback that pays homage to the classics, but also introduces original ideas to the genre. The film is written and produced by Kenny Caperton (owner of the infamous Myers House NC) and directed by Josh Hasty ('A Mannequin in Static') of Black House Capital.

The film stars Frank Aard ('April Fool's Day' remake), Joan Schuermeyer ('Zombieland' and RZ's 'Halloween 2'), Rachel Jeffreys, Samantha Mills ('Bombshell Bloodbath') and newcomer Mariah Brown.

The film is currently in post-production and is scheduled to hit the festival circuit in search of distribution this Fall.

HONEYSPIDER Plot Synopsis:
It’s Halloween day in 1989 and college student Jackie Blue wants to enjoy a quiet birthday in the midst of a chaotic semester at school. Her friend Amber has other ideas and persuades Jackie to come to the annual Halloween party on campus after her shift at the local movie theater. As the night unfolds, it  becomes apparent that Jackie will get more excitement than she bargained for on her birthday this year. The murder that plays out on the silver screen becomes an ominous parallel to reality, as Jackie falls under a strange spell while everyone around her is turning up dead. All the while, a mysterious stranger watches over Jackie’s every move as she succumbs to hallucinations and slowly unravels. Jackie finds herself helplessly trapped like prey in a spider’s web, and all she can do is try to survive the night!

HOLLYWOOD HORRORFEST Honors JOE DANTE with the PRICE AWARD

HOLLYWOOD HORRORFEST - March 28-29, 2014
(New Beverly Cinema, 7165 West Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90036)

For two days in March, HOLLYWOOD will both celebrate the past and embrace the future of indie horror filmmaking with the first annual HOLLYWOOD HORRORFEST. Brainchild of the furtive mind of filmmaker and events organizer MILES FLANAGAN, this promises to be: "A fun and also uniquely Hollywood film festival. And with our "dream team" of industry panelists this is a unique symposium for anyone wanting to learn how to make a living in the horror film business."

This year HHF is honoring CORMAN alumni JOE DANTE with the first annual PRICE AWARD. This Vincent Price Estate authorised award "Honors an artist whose work has achieved iconic status in the horror/fantasy genres."

"Not only did THE HOWLING break new ground narratively, but it also affected the way cinematic werewolves where presented - to this very day. The look created by both Dante and Bottin was and still remains iconic. This film was a real game-changer" says Festival Director FLANAGAN.

Vincent's daughter and VINCENT PRICE ART MUSEUM director, VICTORIA PRICE will be personally presenting the beautiful "VINNIE" Award to JOE DANTE. She will also be talking about her father and bringing awareness to her father's museum & art legacy.

Throughout the weekend the festival is fundraising for the VINCENT PRICE ART MUSEUM (located at East Los Angeles College, Monterey Park), with raffles and prize draws (with amazing prizes donated by Vinegar Syndrome Releasing, Shout! Factory, Distinctive Dummies, Abrams Books and many more).

Legendary actor DICK MILLER (GREMLINS, TERMINATOR, BUCKET OF BLOOD) will also receive the first IMPACT AWARD for his unparalleled contribution and impact on the horror/fantasy genres.

The festival kicks off with an impressive red carpet, cast and crew reunion screening of Dante's classicTHE HOWLING followed by a Q&A. Presented in Digital Hi-Def, this will be the best this film has looked since its original release in 1981.

For the Closing Night Awards evening the festival celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the filming of the classic, funny (and very influential) RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, with a gala, red carpet cast & crew reunion and beautiful 35mm screening.

Saturday, during the day, features screenings and premieres of shorts and features in competition plus "an impressive series of panels on everything you've always wanted to know about the current indie horror film business, but were afraid to ask," says FLANAGAN. "Well be afraid no more," he continues.

The 3-part "How to Successfully Finance, Produce & Sell Your Indie Horror Film" Panel features film industry lawyers, distributors, producers, sales agents and filmmakers with real business experience. This promises to be a series of unmissable panels. "We aimed to create a "dream team" panel of helpful industry insiders, and I feel we have done just that. If you want to know how best to finance, produce, sell and get your film successfully distributed then miss this at your peril!"

As well as giving filmmakers a platform to screen and showcase their work, HHF offers a great networking experience, Hollywood-style red carpet photo ops, some pretty cool awards and a grand prize of $500 worth of production services from LA GRIP.

"We look forward to years of bringing the indie horror film community closer together. Honoring classic artists, educating each other, networking and successfully fundraising is our goal. And making people aware of the amazing legacy that is the VINCENT PRICE ART MUSEUM is the icing on the cake."

Chainsaw Maidens from Hell

Blake is captain of the football team and destined for a career in the pro leagues - that is if he passes his chemistry class. But destiny has a way of tackling the toughest of players when demons invade his college and begin to enslave the student body. A divine angel descends to give Blake an invincible suit of super football pads and send him out to battle the forces of evil. Unfortunately, the suit is missing one vital piece - the jock strap. In order to get it back, Blake must descend into the underworld and recruit the guardians of doom known as The Chainsaw Maidens from Hell. And he’s got to do all this while studying for a chemistry quiz.

The Chainsaw Maidens from hell are smart, sexy and crazy female demons who guard the treasures of the underworld. There are four of them – Destiny, Desire, Wrath and Madness. Destiny is the girl next door and leader of the Chainsaw Maidens. Desire is the sexy and seductive type who lures others to their doom. Wrath is the tough and tumble torn boy who backs up the ladies with attitude and spunk. Madness is the flat out crazy and wacko one because sometime it takes a psycho to get the job done. They seem like a motley crew, but together they compliment each others strengths and weakness and always work as a team!
