EVIL DEAD hosts WALKING DEAD Viewing Parties at THE END

Sunday February 9th marks the return of WALKING DEAD - and the Las Vegas Viewing Parties hosted by EVIL DEAD

Weekly mini-convention returns to The End in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS - Jan. 28, 2014 For fans across the city, the return of WALKING DEAD on AMC means the return of weekly parties where they can dress up as their favorite zombie or zombie hunter, meet with friends and fellow fans, and enjoy one of the highest rated cable television shows with a room full of like-minded people. These parties are designed with the television show and its fans in mind. A variety of WALKING DEAD and zombie-related merchandise - much of it hard-to-find items - is available for purchase, zombie-themed food and delicious beverages are readily available, and there are the added elements of entertainment like rounds of WALKING DEAD trivia during commercial breaks, an ongoing raffle, costume contests, and karaoke. It is a mini-convention - and it happens every Sunday night that a new WALKING DEAD episode is on television.

Hosted by EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL, the event has grown in size with each new season, with the first half of Season 4 getting so large it filled Hi-Scores Bar-Arcade in Henderson, where it was being held, to near-overflowing capacity. To combat the problem, the party is moving to THE END, a zombie apocalypse themed bar located in the heart of Las Vegas.

"If you are a fan of WALKING DEAD or zombies, this is the best party in town for you everySunday night," said Sirc Michaels, producer and director of EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL. "There is so much to see and do, it's going to be awesome. And here at THE END, these guys really understand the zombie thing. Their entire business is built around the theme, which makes it the perfect place for these parties.”

With all the people and activities, it would be easy to image that hearing and seeing the show itself would be a challenge. But according to Michaels, that couldn't be further from the truth. "There is a great amount of noise and activity from 8pm to 9pm, which is the warm-up before the episode itself. Once 9pm hits, WALKING DEAD will be shown on a large screen that encompasses one end of the venue. It is so large there isn't a bad seat in the house. Once the episode starts, everyone quiets down to watch as the sound plays over the entire system. There is something special about being with that many fans gasping and cheering in a public space for the show. It turns it into a big, fun experience akin to seeing an exciting movie in a theater."

During commercial breaks, the gang from EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL will present trivia questions and give out prizes ranging from original artwork to WALKING DEAD merchandise to comic books to packs of tickets to EVIL DEAD. Throughout the evening raffle tickets will also be available for raffle prizes. Once the episode is over, the party continues with karaoke, photo opportunities, and shopping.

"The WALKING DEAD episode is the heart of the event," says Michaels, "But it's not the entirety of it. There is stuff to do before and after the show, and we try to make it as fun as possible for everyone who comes out."

Doors to The Walking Dead viewing parties at THE END open at 8 p.m. every Sunday beginning Feb. 9 and the party runs until midnight. For details about Evil Dead: The Musical, visit http://www.evildeadvegas.com/.
