mini-convention gets new name and bigger, more accessible location
LAS
VEGAS - January 29, 2015 THE WALKING DEAD is the biggest show on cable
television, with a rabid fanbase that grows with each new season. The team
behind EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL count themselves among fans of the show, and have
been hosting for THE WALKING DEAD Viewing Parties for several seasons now in
Las Vegas. Presented by Fat Beard, the parties are set to make their return
with the new WALKING DEAD episode on February 8th.
Called
THE WATCHING DEAD, the viewing parties will be at ADRENALINE SPORTS BAR &
GRILL, 3103 North Rancho Dr, Las Vegas NV 89130.
The
WATCHING DEAD will happen for the mid-season premiere and the season finale of
THE WALKING DEAD. The parties start at 8pm and continue until the
last fan has gone home, typically around 2am. The evening will finish up
with performances from a different live band each night. The entire event is
hosted by Sirc Michaels and the cast of EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL, who will be
on-hand to take pictures with fans, give out prizes, host trivia, and
more.
The
WATCHING DEAD is an experience designed with the WALKING DEAD and the show's
fans in mind. A variety of WALKING DEAD and zombie-related merchandise - much
of it hard-to-find items - will be available for purchase. There are also added
elements of entertainment including rounds of THE WALKING DEAD trivia during
commercial breaks, an ongoing raffle, and a costume contest.

WATCHING DEAD Viewing Parties are almost upon us again," said Sirc
Michaels, producer and director of EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL. "As a fan of
WALKING DEAD, I can't imagine a better experience than watching the episodes
with other like-minded fans. It's an entire evening of entertainment built
around one of the most popular television shows on cable, for fans by fans,
making this a unique experience you can only get in Las Vegas, hosted by the
BLOODIEST show on the Las Vegas Strip."
To
ensure everyone can see and hear the episodes, the bar is equipped with state
of the art sound and screens. The goal is to make sure there isn't a bad seat
in the house. Fans are encouraged to come early to claim their seats before the
episode starts.
