Next Horror Happens Film Showcase Celebrates "WOMEN IN HORROR" on Sat Feb 14th


Event: HORROR HAPPENS FILM SHOWCASE CELEBRATES “WOMEN IN HORROR 2015”

DATE: SATURDAY, FEBURARY 14, 2015 - TIME: 3:00 TO 9:00 PM - CAMP JEFFERSON THEATRE IN LAKE HOPATCONG, NJ

THE HORROR HAPPENS FILM SHOWCASE RETURNS TO CAMP JEFFERSON THEATRE AS WE CELEBRATE “WOMEN IN HORROR” MONTH WITH 6 HOURS OF INDEPENDENT FILM INCLUDING SEVERAL PREIEMERS, A DOZEN SHORT FILMS AND TWO FEATURE HORROR FILMS THROUGH THE FEMALE LENS!

LAKE HOPATCONG, NJ – Horror Happens Productions in partnership with Jefferson Highlights & Women in Horror 2015 (Womeninhorrormonth.com) are proud to present a night of WOMEN IN HORROR from different perspectives, parts of the world and paths brought together as part of February’s Horror Happens Film Showcase event!

Sponsored by Diabolique Magazine, the doors open at 2:30 PM sharp with a 3:00 PM start time on the intimate screen at the Camp Jefferson Theatre on the grounds of Camp Jefferson 81 Weldon Rd, Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey (right off of route 80 at exit 34 then near five miles down Route 15 towards Sparta). The film showcase will be hosted by the Horror Happens Radio Show (Heard weekly on Tuesday at 4 PM EST on HomeGrownRadioNJ.org).

Starting at 3 PM with our block of 12 short films, each project will vary in storytelling, independent sensibilities and perspective of women filmmakers, writers and performers! Coming from around the world, the dozen short films will feature filmmakers and performers handling storytelling themes about the undead, home invasion, body horror, international legends, crimes gone wrong, relationships and dark psychology all threw the female eye and mind! The two feature films will start at 6 PM encompassing both horror and the thriller style of films. We are proud to screen the tension laced, home invasion horror film BERKSHIRE COUNTY by talented filmmaker Audrey Cummings. Our closing night feature will come from the film making duo DPYX and their crime thriller NOBODY CAN COOL playing at 7:30 PM. Tickets can only be purchased the day of the event via cash for $10.00 each (there are no online sales).
