Watch "The Can-Cannibals Double Feature" Today!

One day Miss Vaudie Va-Boom had a vision...

It was a vision of beautiful scantily clad women enticing audiences with their long legs and swirling skirts to be their next meal! Her sick and twisted mind took her places where only the most genious of psychophaths would dare to go...

And the Can-Cannibals were born!

The Can-Cannibals Dance Troupe was started in January of 2008 with only 4 dancers. We honed our skills in a dark and dirty warehouse in Downtown Oakland, feeding off the flesh of unexpecting victims, until we were ready for our debut performance in Febuary of 2008 at Va-Boom's first Valentine Punk Rock Cabaret.

Now 4 whole years later we've doubled in size, put a huge variety of shows under our (garter)belts, and have made a name for ourselves in underground and mainstream scenes alike!

The Can-Cannibals now consist of 6 lovely females with a hunger for flesh, a thirst for blood, and a passion to dance!

And they have recently danced themselves right into a new short film...

Always Wrong Film presents the first ever 'fake' splatterpunk double feature done in grindhouse style trailers. Starring the Oakland, CA based punk rock burlesque troupe The Can-Cannibals. The project is an homage to VHS era of exploitation films. In 'The Can-Cannibals,' a group of cannibalistic burlesque dancers are being hunted down by Detective turned vigilante Elmo Washington. In 'Rebelle's Revenge,' the dance troupe returns to play a ruthless street gang. When one of the member's doesn't agree with her gang's turn to drug dealing she is betrayed and left for dead. She recovers and comes back to exact her revenge on her former gang. The trailers also feature underground music ranging from Dario Argento/John Carpenter inspired synth tracks to hardcore/punk music. All music used with permission.

Now sit back, relax, and enjoy their short film…

The film has enjoyed some recent success, as it has been shown at several festivals including:

Oakland Underground Film Festival (Oakland, CA)
Shockerfest (Modesto, CA)
ITSA Film Festival (Sonora, CA)
Fright Bites Film Fest (Elgin, Illinois)
