A Nightmare on Elm Street: Trial by Fire is a
feature-length, non-profit fan film that takes place in-between the original A
Nightmare on Elm Street and its sequel, Freddy's Revenge. With the recent
remake and the uncertainty of where the series is headed, it is up to the fans
to bring Freddy back. This is a return to the dark and macabre vision that Wes
Craven brought to the screen nearly 30 years ago. This is a movie by fans, for
fans. We are in no way associated with New Line Cinema.
The recent murders of Tina Gray, Glen Lantz and Rod
Lane have caused a mass hysteria for the parents of Springwood, who start to
question the truth about the night they hunted down the local child-killer and
murdered him. Marilyn, seventeen, begins to have consistent visions of a
mysterious little girl, who has also been in her nightmares accompanied by a
scarred, maniacal killer. As her friends start to be murdered, she takes
initiative and fights to survive.
