Freak Show Horror Film Festival

Celebrate and Support the Art of Independent Horror! This international horror genre film festival is the brainchild of FEAR FILM Motion Picture Studios Owner Robert J. Massetti. As a veteran independent horror filmmaker, Robert wanted to make a film festival that celebrates the independent horror filmmaker by giving the artist a forum to show his or her work.

The festival is a showcase of some of the most talented, up and coming horror filmmakers in the world and tries hard to help filmmakers reach their goals with their films. Located within walking distance to Universal Studios, what better way to celebrate Halloween then with Independent Horror Films and Halloween Horror Nights! This is a festival not to be missed for fun and exposure.

Here’s a look at some of this year’s selections…

This is a documentary filmed over 1 1/2 years between 2010-2012 about what it means to be a horror fan. Several celebrity interviews including Sid Haig, Tom Savini, Doug Bradley, Bill Moseley, Dee Wallace, and many others regarding their work in horror films and their experiences with fans.

vis-i-tant; n: A VISITOR, esp. one from the spirit world…
Samantha plays the role of ‘Fortune Teller,’ but she is a thorough skeptic about ‘paranormal happenings’ and all things supernatural – she certainly doesn’t believe in ghosts. But one night alone in her house, she is about to learn that there are dark forces that don’t care whether she believes or not; they are REAL. Or are they?…

Set in the small coastal town of Bright Leaf, North Carolina, “Pieces of Talent” centers around Charlotte, a disillusioned aspiring actress working a night job as a cocktail waitress in order to make ends meet. Charlotte catches a break when seemingly chance circumstances put her in contact with a local filmmaker, David Long. David and Charlotte form a quick friendship that leads to Charlotte landing the starring role in David’s newest project. David quickly becomes obsessed with Charlotte and begins building his bloody masterpiece by killing members of the community. He films each encounter with the ultimate goal of filming Charlotte as his final installment. David is a happily obsessed individual willing to do whatever it takes to make “true art”. He utilizes his charm and skills to make something dark and deranged seem utterly beautiful and loving.

Starring Scott Tepperman (Ghost Hunters International) and Scream Queen  Cyndi Crotts
A family fights for survival when they encounter a creepy, bloodthirsty creature never seen before by human eyes.

Six years after the apocalypse, George and his daughter live at a secluded old farm in a attempt to hide from roving creatures, militant survivors, as well as their own past.  A stranger’s unexpected appearance will bring them out of hiding and face to face with all of the terrifying danger they have spent years avoiding.
