who’s up for a challenge? Coming June 20th-24th is the 100 Hour Horror Film
Challenge!
“BEST
OF SHOW” PRIZE: 9 3/4″ tall Short10Cinema trophy, CS6 Production Premium
Suite, Magic Bullet Suite and a guaranteed premiere at the Short10Cinema
Film Festival January 25, 2014 for a shot at the Audience Award.
BONUS: Best
of Show also premieres at the Crypticon Seattle Film Festival!
Here
is a brief look at the rules:
-Film
will contain 3 elements, consisting of props and/or dialogue. The elements can
appear in any order, however, each one-third of the film must contain one
element. For example, for a film that is 9 minutes long, one element must
appear within every three minutes during the film. When submitting your
film, please include the order of your elements and the timestamps (i.e.
“01:32”) in which they appear. Elements will be assigned to the teams
on the night of the challenge @7pm PST. February 21st.
-Opening
Credits are required to say: "Team Name, Title of Film, Created for
Short10Cinema, Horror Film Challenge 2013, www.short10cinema.com"
-If
your film is produced in a different language, you will need to have English
subtitles.
-Teams
will receive their form packet (release forms and team info) after registration
which will need to be returned with their films by the submission deadline:
June 24th @ 11:59 pmPST.
-Let’s
keep it simple! 1920 x 1080 MPEG2 or H.264 is the required format, either SD or
HD. Films may be 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio (4:3 will have black pillar
boxes.) Please send the file on a DATA DVD OR Flashdrive. Do not
put any security feature nor proprietory codecs on the file. We will not
take the time to call you if we cannot open it. PLEASE DO NOT SEND A
SCREENER DVD!
