Mwb3 Problems Presents: 'Glare'

GLARE REACHES PRODUCTION
Montetré's sixth film goes to Mitchell OR

We are pleased to announce that 'Glare' has wrapped up eight pre-production shoots and is moving into production in September 2014. Written and directed by the independent Portland visionary Montetré. This will be his sixth feature film to date. Producer Ryan Cloutier returns to produce and score for the film. Coming on board we have Josh Mackey, who after watching Montetré and Ryan's previous film 'Holed-Up' is helping produce and supervise pre-production and visual effects in post for 'Glare'.

'Glare'is considered to be an action-filled-horror with vampires as antagonists. As filmmakers we want the film to rely on true suspense and minimal effects to create a truly realistic disturbing feeling that only films such as 'Jaws' or 'Rosemary's Baby' create. There will be gore, but only when necessary. We believe that by allowing the audience's imagination to expand upon the horror achieves a greater level of terror. The imagination should be apart of the entertainment process not entirely subjected to one personal interpretation.

This project embodies the classic horror genre as a realistic, gritty, modern-day adventure with suspense. In our film, it is the story and characters that drive a plot that is both intense, and yet enjoyable. We want to immerse our audience in something that resonates with them on a realistic and personal level.

Inspired heavily by classic vampire mythology, with a graphic novel feel, ‘Glare’ delivers unique characters that progress the story individually and in a raw format. Montetré's ability to allow his characters to develop over the duration of the film provides a level of realism that has been lost in modern cinema. Every character has his or her own driving will that affects the plot uniquely, resulting in believable characters and situations, no matter how fantastical.

The film also has taken its time in pre-production in order to develop posters, banners and other advertising media. In doing so actors have been able to feel out their characters with preliminary screen-tests in which the entire scene is rehearsed. Montetré being very fond of letting actors further develop backstory for their characters in order fully realize character. Allowing for each actor within the film to create memorable scenes that create numerous subplots.

The film is still looking for extras and stuntmen for upcoming scenes involving work with Jerry L. Buxaum (who has done stunt fx work on numerous local films in the Portland film industry and beyond).
