HOLLYWOOD HORRORFEST Launches New Business Class - Starts Nov 17

HOLLYWOOD HORRORFEST Launches Film Business Class - starts Nov 17th

For a limited time in Los Angeles, HOLLYWOOD HORRORFEST's Miles Flanagan is running a series of industry alumni mentored classes for low budget filmmakers entitled HOW TO MAKE A MOVIE THAT MAKES MONEY.

"I was shocked when I discovered most low budget indies fail to make money. When I discovered why, and how that could be changed, I wanted to pass that on to others" says Flanagan.

Flanagan is passionate about helping filmmakers. "What makes this class different is our focus on how to make your film PROFITABLE. We even teach you how to increase your film's chances of profitability BEFORE the script is written."

"We have some amazing guests from the world of Horror and Indie filmmaking and all students get free production software too" continues Flanagan. "And profits support HHF 2015, so it's a win-win for all."

The first HOLLYWOOD HORRORFEST - presenting the inaugural PRICE AWARD (in association with VICTORIA PRICE) to JOE DANTE, and the IMPACT AWARD to DICK MILLER - was a tremendous success, selling over 1,500 tickets at QUENTIN TARANTINO's NEW BEVERLY CINEMA in Los Angeles earlier in 2014.

HHF raised funds for the VINCENT PRICE ART MUSEUM and screened some amazing films, but also launched the incredibly popular A PANEL TO DIE FOR - a bulls**t free panel of industry alumni - covering everything from equity finance to sales and distribution.

FRAMEHOPPING.COM summed up that panel perfectly:
“This panel was phenomenal I have never learned so much in such a short amount of time.”

But what was apparent from the panel was that filmmakers didn't understand the business. Since no-one was teaching it. Most think because they have a great idea, script, film, or even distribution then it's going to be profitable. Wrong.

Our series of evening classes (1 day a week for 4 weeks) empower filmmakers. 10 students get to be mentored and learn how to make their film profitable and to keep making profitable films over and over again.

"We deliberately kept classes small, only 10 students, so they can get the most from them."

Classes cover film development, finance, production, sales, marketing and distribution - all with the focus on making your film profitable. Students get one-on-one mentoring from Flanagan and his guests, who include ROLFE KANEFSKY (Megafoot, Nightmare Man), ERIK LUNDMARK (Leomark - Sales Agent), MIKE DAVIS (Pervert, President Wolfman), MARLON SCHULMAN (Equity Finance & Legal), ROBERT HAYES & JOSEPH GUZMAN (Nude Nuns With Big Guns) and SHAUN PICCININO (The Lackey, Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde).

Flanagan states "After years struggling to make movies I now follow this advice totally and have one film in release (DVD and VOD), another currently in production and a slate of 3 more over the next 2 years. I feel more confident now about filmmaking than I ever have."

"The classes were created from over 6 years research. Because of the film festivals I run I befriended so many people in the industry (creatives, sales and marketing, investors, distributors). I was always intrigued by the business side of things. Since I was a complete novice I was never scared of asking so-called 'stupid' questions. Consequently I got very honest and candid answers. I regularly attended AFM and asked more questions. I made a feature film and learnt even more - about the buying and selling of that PRODUCT in the marketplace. The classes are based on my experiences and those of all my knowledgable guests."

"These classes are packed with so much honest advice that they're invaluable to any series filmmaker."

All students get over $33 dollars worth of FREE production software (from D-View, Shot-Lister, Pocket Call Sheet) and massive discounts on others (Scripts Pro). Plus FREE budget templates and working templates for DVD boxes, Executive Summaries and necessary Promotional Artwork.

For a limited time, classes cost only $299 (that's less than $75 per class - plus FREE software). Registration is open and is limited to 10 students.
Classes begin Nov.17th in Los Angeles.
