The FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival recently announced it’s 2012 Official Selections of Screening films. They will be showing 30 independent horror films over the course of the three-day festival. Here is a quick look at just a few of the films:

After being left at the altar 5 years ago, ex-beauty queen Farrah Adjani has receded into her own world. She lives at home in an apartment shared by her mother and aunt, and rarely comes out of her room. She spends her time flipping through the 24-hour news cycle and feeding her obsession with Jackson Miles, a recently convicted serial killer. Everything changes when her overbearing drunk of a mother returns home from her date, flashes a ring, and announces ‘Mommy’s getting married!’ Thrown into a tailspin, Farrah makes a drastic move to get noticed by Jackson Miles. She wants to learn everything Jackson knows about murder. Farrah never could be the perfect daughter, but can she be the perfect killer? On her mother’s wedding day, she’s planning to find out…

Halloween night.

There’s a feeling of the eighties in the air as three friends make their way to a costume party, only to encounter a posse of insane killer clowns that leave their friends slaughtered at the party house and a thirst for revenge sweeter than any candy apple can offer! Following the clowns back to the asylum, the friends soon find themselves lost in a funhouse maze full of surprises, bodies, crazy patients and screams, as the blood, guts and giggles come from all angles, and the fight for revenge, becomes a fight for survival…

From the makers of the award winning BATTLE OF THE BONE; THE KNACKERY and THE LAST LIGHT.

A documentary film crew follows old-school paranormal investigator, Eddie Brewer, as he becomes involved in two disturbing and baffling cases. A little girl is believed to be possessed by a malevolent entity; and weird and disquieting noises have been heard in the cellar of a rundown Eighteenth Century mansion now used by the local council. Brewer must not only contend with sceptics and rivals in his own field who try to undermine his investigations, but he is dogged by personal guilt over the death of his wife. Facing the greatest challenge of his life, he confronts the source of these paranormal manifestations during an all night vigil at the old house. What begins as a mocking expose of Eddie’s life, becomes a terrifying battle between reason and the paranormal.

From writer/director Joe Martinez comes the Asian inspired horror film “I SEE YOU.” Starring Celina Jade (The Man with the Iron Fists) as the young and beautiful Melissa, whose typical office day in Hong Kong spirals into madness at the hands of a dark and vengeful wraith…

In the racially charged South of the 1960′s, the black population of a small town is blamed for the spread of a virulent plague. Bobby, a white mechanic, is racing through the countryside with his wife Carolyne. She was bitten by one of those infected, and is fading fast. Awakening in a wrecked car with Carolyne missing, Bobby follows a trail of blood down the road towards a fateful encounter and an unthinkable choice. Little does he know, that the fate of the infected mother of his child will fall into his hands.

The dead have risen and want your brains! Or do they? This hard-hitting mockumentary chronicles a group of zombies during a world-wide infestation. Tremble with fear and laughter as you are taken along an exclusive journey into the unknown and undead. It’s zombies like you’ve never seen them before…articulate.
