SHORT
FILM “HELL’S BELLES” CONTINUES ITS RUN WITH 8 UPCOMING FESTIVALS
Los
Angeles, CA- Hell’s Belles, the new short film written and directed by
Christian Ackerman, began its 2012 film festival run at the Horrorfind Film
Festival in Pennsylvania. It will screen at 8 other festivals in the coming
months with many more to come.
The
Horror-Comedy stars Ariel Teal Toombs (daughter of Pro Wrestler “Rowdy” Roddy
Piper) and Mayra Rodriguez as inexperienced occult specialists called by the
local Sheriff to help rescue a young girl from a sadistic demon from Hell. The
film also stars Bonjah Kele, Trista Robinson, James Cavlo, Paul Gebeau, and
Buffy Dakan.
Hell’s
Belles’ Writer/Director, Christian Ackerman says, “I’m super-excited that
Hell’s Belles has been included these great festivals! I can’t wait to see how
it plays with new and different crowds!”
Although
a standalone piece, the short was produced to promote Ackerman’s feature script
of the same name. “I recently finished the first draft with my writing partner
Chuck Foster. It features a full-scale demonic attack on a small town. It’s so
much fun! I hope the short can gain enough momentum to get the script on the
right desks this year!”
The
film boasts Cinematography by Cameron Duncan (Longmire/Southland), Special FX
by Dan Crawley (Battleship/Watchmen/Captain America/The Avengers) and Chris Hampton
(The Hobbit Trilogy/True Blood), Production Design by Matthew Trotter (Tavis
Smiley Show/Dead & Gone), Sound Design by Colin Rogers (Modern Family/Sons
of Anarchy) and Score by Ken Jacobsen (games-The Amazing Spider-Man/Lost World
3).
Hell’s
Belles makes its West Coast Premiere on September 21st at the
