A
prolonged two-year drought has Pearson County, a small-town farming community
in rural America, on the edge of economic collapse. Its few remaining residents
struggle against the inevitability of a shut-down as Noah Sheppard mourns the
suspicious death of his wife and unborn child.
Circumstances
intensify as a mysterious stranger emerges warning of an impending dust storm
with an ominous history. Now, Noah must band together with his son, co-workers
and other Pearson County residents as they struggle against the storm, and the
