In October of 1992, Detective Salinas becomes entrenched in what is quite possibly the most disturbing crime to shake Fieldhouse, Texas: he finds the corpses of two accused American spree serial killers. Three weeks earlier in La Sal, Utah, Mila Sweeney is on her way to her mother’s house when serial killers, who are eluding state troopers, kidnap her. One of them has just escaped from a psychiatric ward. When Mila’s mother comes looking for her, the serial killers murder her mother right before her eyes. Mila is taken to the Texas hometown of the killers, where she is tortured for days. Once she escapes, Mila is determined to seek revenge on her mother’s killers, taking matters into her own hands.
