Check out this review of Eric Cota’s Sudden Chiller Audio Exposure Vol 1 & 2
Review
of Eric Cota’s Sudden Chiller Audio Exposure Vol 1 & 2 on Horror-Writer.net…
Everything
old has come back to the new. It is inevitable that if it is timeless, then it
will return, and sometimes with a vengeance. Freakshows once thought of as
a dead performance art now have feature shows on cable television. Rockabilly
was thought to have died with Buddy Holly has morphed into various sub-styles
of psychobilly, gothabilly, and cowpunk. Several decades ago our
grandparents hovered around the radio to listen to tales woven through a live
studio complete with sound effects. Families waited to hear the latest trouble
that Little Orphan Annie would get herself into while only the Shadow knew what
evil lurked in the hearts of men.
Fast-forward
to the current time. Eric D. Cota has resurrected the old time radio dramas
into the modern age with the release of two audio collections via CD,Sudden
Chillers Audio Exposure Vol. 1 and Sudden Chillers Audio Exposure
Vol. 2.
All stories are original horror shorts as told by the author alongside of sound
effects and soundtrack. With the help of new digital audio recording and
editing, Cota has singlehandedly given the storytelling community a shot in the
ass with his brand of audio horror tales.
Cota
offers the following advice while listening:
“To
get the most out of your listening enjoyment, this should be played in the dark
with headphones and should be done so alone, as these experiences are personal
and different for each individual. Crank up the volume for maximum effect!! Of
course it can be played for a group, but follow the simple instructions: Keep
it dark, keep it loud, and keep it gruesome!!!”

Kicking off the "Just Killing" Campaign
Just
Killing Is
a Genre Redefining Horror Film from Pinnacle Pictures Studio
"Just
Killing"
is a dark comedy slasher film that tells the story of several college
students who hire a clown as a practical joke for their friend's birthday.
Little do they know that the night's entertainment is a serial killing clown,
who's responsible for a recent killing on their campus, and once they make
a joke out of his performance, things take a deadly turn. Soon, the night of
a birthday celebration and a cat fight, turns into a night of bloodshed,
twisted jokes and a fight for survival.
Britton
Lee Hein, Brandon Huguley and Shalaan Powell are proud to announce that they
are producing a new horror film, Just Killing, that will
re-invigorate the horror movie industry with innovative storytelling, mind
bending special effects and unforgettable characters destined for

new chapter in the killer clown sub-genre which has been largely ignored in
recent years.
Just
Killing combines the writing and directing talents of Shalaan Powell
and Brandon Huguley. The filmwill serve as the first feature film
appearance for all cast members. A passion project for the production team,
Just Killing has already lined up a production deal with Pinnacle Pictures and
has just completedthe screenplay treatment. Actual filming should begin
shortly after funding has been obtained and will involve renting High Definition
cameras, finding locations, preparing actors and editing. While producing
a film of the Just Killing’s caliber is not cheap, the actors and
production staff are committed making as many sacrifices as necessary to bring
this outstanding project to fruition.
In order to make this film the success it promises to be, the producers
are seeking the support of the public. Their fundraising campaign on
Indiegogo allows film lovers and budding movie producers to help support this
important project with donations of any size. In return for this
financial support, contributors may receive rewards like signed DVD’s, movie
posters, tickets to the premiere and associate produce credits. Supporters
of Just Killing are also encouraged to

Sounds like an awesome series, so lets learn a little about it...
The
Michaluk Virus is loose.
In
the heart of Atlanta, Georgia, the Michaluk Virus has escaped the CDC, and its
effects are widespread and devastating. Most of the population of the
southeastern United States have become homicidal cannibals. As society rapidly
crumbles under the hordes of infected, three people—Ethan Bennett, a Memphis
police officer; Cade Alton, his best friend and former IDF sharpshooter; and
Brandt Evans, a lieutenant in the US Marines—band together against the oncoming
crush of death and terror sweeping across the world.
As Cade, Brandt, and Ethan hole up in a safe house in Tupelo, others
begin to join them in their bid for survival. When the infected attack and
they’re forced to flee, one departs to Memphis in search of answers while the
others escape south to Biloxi, where they encounter more danger than they
bargained for. And in Memphis, the answers that one man finds are the last
answers he wanted, answers that herald a horrific possibility that there may be
more to this virus than first suspected.
One
year after the Michaluk Virus decimated the southeast, Ethan Bennett and his
six companions have become as close as family while facing the trials of living
in a drastically changed world. Then a mysterious woman arrives at their safe
house in Alabama, pleading for assistance in getting into Atlanta. Despite
their suspicions that the woman is hiding important information, Ethan and his
friends agree to help. But when they’re suddenly forced to flee from the
infected, the cohesion the group cultivated is shattered.
As members of the group succumb to the escalating dangers on their path,
new alliances form, new loves develop, and old friendships crumble. In the face
of unending horror, one man is forced to make the ultimate sacrifice to save
his friends, while another reveals secrets that could hold the key to
humanity’s survival.
Brandt
Evans is floundering. Leadership of their dysfunctional group wasn’t something
he asked for or wanted. Their problems are numerous: Remy Angellette is
grief-stricken and suicidal, Gray Carter is distant and reclusive, and Cade
Alton is near death. And things only get worse.
While
Brandt and Gray are on the hunt for supplies, a still-recovering Cade is
kidnapped by a militant group of survivors. On Brandt’s return, he’s told of a
conspiracy involving test subjects, pathogens, and CDC doctors.
Brandt’s race to save Cade takes him back to the dangerous streets of Atlanta,
where not all is as it seems. And with a horde of infected closing in and the
rescue mission in jeopardy, he comes tantalizingly close to a cure that might
save what’s left of humanity from the ravages of the Michaluk Virus.
The
fourth book in Jessica Meig's exciting THE BECOMING series. It has been almost
two years since the Michaluk Virus outbreak began, and Remy Angellette has
helped her friends establish Woodside, a walled-in community of survivors in
South Carolina. The gang feels safe, but how long will that last with Remy
hovering between sanity and madness? When hundreds of infected besiege
Woodside, Ethan and Kimberly slip out of Woodside with the cure to search for a
still-operational CDC facility. But will Woodside survive until the military
arrives...?
