Award-winning
independent filmmaker Glenn Berggoetz is at it again. Crowned by Examiner.com national indie film critic Terra
King as “the king of indie comedy,” Berggoetz isn’t letting off the
accelerator.
Best known as the writer/director behind the cult favorite "The
Worst Movie EVER!" that set the all-time box office record for the worst
opening weekend in film history, Berggoetz’s dark comedy "The Ghosts of
Johnson Woods" is now in post-production and slated for a 2014 release.
The film has already received interest from distributors who want to
continue the run of Berggoetz films that have received theatrical releases.
But that’s not all Berggoetz is busy with.
Berggoetz has just completed a feature film script titled
"Conclave" that is drawing tremendous amounts of interest.
Conclave is a scathing satire of the papacy that is being compared to
films like Monty Python’s "Life of Brian" and the Mel Brooks classic
"Blazing Saddles." The script has drawn the attention of Monty
Python legend Terry Gilliam’s camp, former Michael Jackson publicist Michael
Levine, and actor Kane Hodder, who is being considered for a small role in the
film.
