The
Children of Manson
Would
you allow an aggressive disease to spread? Would you watch with indifference as
it devastated its host? I have a choice. And I, along with my Family, choose to
act. Now you may choose. Join us… or die.
Lloyd
feels time is short. From his care home he looks out over a world he feels has
lost its way. But though concerned he has a plan.
Dee
is a troubled university student, who finds it hard to fit in to a new
environment. She struggles to make friends, and to come to terms with her
sexuality. And then come the reports of the disappearances, and the
mutilated bodies appearing around the town. Will she get to the bottom of
these grisly happenings before it is too late?
The
Children of Manson is a horror e-book which ties together terror, gore, and
psychosis, with a subtle political undertone.
It
centres around Dee, who seeks comfort from her isolation at
University from her flatmate Lily, and their friendship quickly blossoms into
something more.
Unbeknownst
to Dee, Lloyd is watching her every move. He has seen her move into the
building opposite, and his suspicions about her begin to rise.
He
has a secret... which stems from a loathing of reproduction, which he perceives
as a mockery of his own impotency. Underneath the home in which he is cared
for, a maze of passageways are home to a cult following, vigilant in their
tasks under Lloyd’s watchful eye.
Their
aim? To prevent pregnancy, destroy fertility, and if necessary, and will
go to the very extreme to achieve their goals.
When
young men and women begin to go missing, Dee begins to fear for her own safety,
especially when strange things begin to happen in her own home.
This
escalates when in a horrific twist of events, Lloyd witnesses Dee’s rape from
afar, and, misjudging the act... her fate is sealed.
In
the midst of this, Dee and Lily’s relationship is crumbling under a lethal mix
of pressure and jealousy, which comes to a sudden head, with horrific
consequences.
Lloyd
captures Dee, with the intent to desexualise and convert her... and it is then
that the real depth of the cult’s work is truly realised.
Deep
in the underground chambers, Dee learns just how far Lloyd’s and his followers
are willing to go in the name of their cause.
