BOOK: THE REGULATORS- Book 2 of THE GUARDIAN INTERVIEWS by Michael Clary —
El Paso, Texas belongs to the dead. It’s a nightmare town and the exits are
closed. Nothing gets out and certainly, nothing gets in. Then again, nobody in
their right mind would actually want to get in. Meet the Regulators. They kill
monsters for a living. They face creatures that shouldn’t exist. Creatures that
are so terrifying a normal man would be driven insane if he was lucky enough to
even survive an encounter with one. They were in El Paso when the dead began to
rise. They fought their way out, but they couldn’t save everyone. Too many
people had been left behind. Their new mission is to extract and defend all the
survivors still trapped inside the city. They have the weapons, they have the
vehicles, and they have the strength of the military behind them. What could
possibly go wrong?
GAME: Tom Clancy’s The Division — We live in a complex world. The more advanced it
gets, the more vulnerable it becomes. We've created a house of cards. Remove
just one and everything falls apart. Black Friday, a devastating pandemic
sweeps through New York City and, one by one, basic services fail. In only
days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, an
autonomous unit of tactical agents, is activated. Leading seemingly ordinary
lives among us, the agents are trained to operate independently in order to
save society.

BOOK: 14 by Peter Clines —
Padlocked doors. Strange light fixtures. Mutant cockroaches. There are some odd
things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind.
He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the
future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the
property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him
too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and
notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s.
And Veek’s. Because every room in this old Los Angeles brownstone has a mystery
or two. Mysteries that stretch back over a hundred years. Some of them are in
plain sight. Some are behind locked doors. And all together these mysteries
could mean the end of Nate and his friends. Or the end of everything.

fact doesn’t help much for the fear filled panic that floods the streets

survival horror novels that he has read tell him to stock up and lay low. In

BOOK: DAY BY DAY ARMAGEDDON: GREY FOX by J.L. Bourne — Time is a very fluid thing, no one really has a
grasp on it other than maybe how to measure it. As the maestro of the Day by
Day Armageddon Universe, I have the latitude of being in control of that time.
I can adjust the slider either direction, moving the timeline back and forth
along the continuum. This is one of the perks of creation, the benefit in
constructing something (albeit small) from nothing. Sort of makes you wonder
what the maestro of the universe is up to, no? You have again stumbled upon a
ticket with service through the apocalyptic wastes, but this time the train is
a little bit older, a little more beat up, and maybe a little wiser. Keep your
doors locked.
GAME: Quantum Break —
In
Quantum Break time is breaking down. This is attributed to a failed science
experiment involving protagonist Jack Joyce, Beth Wilder, and antagonist Paul
Serene. This failed experiment gives these 3 individuals the unique ability to
foresee or control time itself. Set in Riverport an East coast University town,
localized time anomalies become more frequent, time stutters and freezes
causing the breaks in time. It is up to Jack and Beth to stop these
disturbances in time.
