Tricia
Lee’s First Two Films NOW available on DVD in the US!
From
the darkest corners of the woods, to the seemingly safe bedroom next door,
there’s no place to hide from director Tricia Lee’s special brand of horror.
Having thrilled and chilled audiences in Canada and across the world, her first
two films, Silent Retreat and Clean Break are coming to DVD in the United
States.
Available
now in all DVD outlets including Amazon, Best Buy, Barnes & Nobles, Walmart
and Target, Silent Retreat, tells the story of Janey (Chelsea Jenish), a
troubled teen who is sent to a silent meditation retreat in the middle of the
woods for rehabilitation. The doctor (Robert Nolan) who runs the facility uses
unorthodox methods to control the girls, and those who fail to embrace his
silence will discover that there is something more dangerous lurking beyond the
trees.
Winner
of Best Canadian Feature at Toronto After Dark Film Festival and an official
selection of The Nocturna International Fantastic Film Festival, Silent Retreat
has been called, “a tense little beast of a movie that has some powerfully
terrifying moments,” by Mark L. Miller of Ain’t It Cool News, and a film that
“beautifully blends supernatural horror with the terrors of the real world” by
Rue Morgue.
With strong performances, chilling suspense, and a blood soaked finale,
Silent Retreat is sure to make you think twice before heading into the woods.
Coming
out on August 25th on DVD and now available on iTunes, Tricia Lee’s
first feature Clean Break, takes the terror out of the woods and puts it right
in the middle of your living room. For Cam Dawson (Samy Osman), living the
single life is all he’s ever wanted, but when his roommate Scott (Sean
Kaufmann) gets into a relationship with the seemingly fantastic Tracy (Tianna
Nori), his life gets complicated. When Cam tries to break up Tracy and Scott,
she does everything she can to protect her perfect relationship, even if it
means eliminating the excess baggage.
Winner
of Best Drama at the Atlanta Horror Film Festival, Clean Break features
chilling performances by Tianna Nori (The Demolisher) and Samy Osman (Nikita),
who both received widespread praise at Toronto’s Blood in the Snow Festival for
their fiery, combative, and ultimately bloody relationship. A passion project
for all involved, Clean Break was sparked by the idea that you can choose your
roommates, but not who they date.
Lee and long-time writing partner Corey Brown are making a big splash in
indie horror. Their next film One Drop will be hitting the film festival
circuit soon. Now is your chance to catch up on their humble beginnings with
their no-budget terrors and watch as they are on the rise with some awesome new
films coming out very soon!
