5th Passenger Kickstarter Launches with Star Trek and Stargate Cast

Indie sci-fi horror, 5th Passenger, will commence principle photography this winter at Space Command Studios. Helmed by newcomers Scott Baker and Morgan Lariah, it features Marina Sirtis from Star Trek: The Next Generation , Tim Russ, Robert Picardo and Manu Intiraymi from Star Trek: Voyager. And Doug Jones from Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth, currently on The Strain and Falling Skies.

Set in 2151, after the Yellowstone Caldera volcano erupts throwing the Earth into chaos, 5th Passenger tells the story of a secretly pregnant female officer and her four man crew adrift in deep space in an escape pod after their transport ship explodes before reaching the new home planet. They fight amongst themselves as they run low on air, but must work together to find a vicious alien hiding aboard their craft before it kills them all.

Director and co-writer, Scott Baker’s desire to create this film comes from his love of classic sci-fi thrillers like Alien, Event Horizon and John Carpenter’s The Thing. Pre-production is currently underway and principle photography will begin this winter after production wraps on Marc Zicree’s epic science fiction film, Space Command with the help of crowdfunding.at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/5thpassenger/5th-passenger-a-sci-fi-horror-feature-film
