Eastleigh Film Festival: Call for short films

Eastleigh Film Festival is committed to supporting film-making by creating opportunities for the screening and production of inspirational and innovative new work.

Whether you are fresh out of film school or have been making films for years we are offering the opportunity to win a residency at our purpose built Creation Space with professional mentoring as well as prizes to support your film making practice. The competition is open toBritish and French filmmakers and is run as a cross-channel collaboration as part of the EU-funded Recreate project.

Submissions are invited for short films of any genre, production style or technique including animation, documentary, experimental and non-narrative film. Films must be no more than 6 minutes long (including credits) and produced after 1st January 2013. Submissions will be accepted until 4pm on the 29th August 2014.

Films will be judged by an expert panel and selected for screening at the film festival between 22nd September and 27th September 2014 alongside our main programme. From this selection, prize winners will be chosen and announced at a special event on the 25th September 2014.
