Twice"
Boynton
and Moran to Star Alongside Katee Sackhoff as Production Gets Underway in
Cardiff, Wales
Cardiff,
Wales – July 23, 2015 – It was revealed today that Lucy Boynton (“Miss
Potter,” “Ballet Shoes,” “Mo”) and Nick Moran (“Lock, Stock and Two
Smoking Barrels,” “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1,” “Harry Potter
and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2”) will join Katee Sackhoff (“Oculus,”
“Riddick,” “Battlestar Galactica”) in the supernatural horror film “Don’t Knock
Twice,” which is being directed by Caradog James, and begins shooting this week
in Cardiff.
An
emotional story full of suspense and twists, “Don’t Knock Twice” follows a
guilt-ridden mother (Sackhoff) who wants to reconnect with the daughter
(Boynton) she was forced to place into care. To save her estranged daughter,
she has to uncover the terrifying truth behind the urban legend of a vengeful,
demonic witch.
Caradog
James (“The Machine,” “Little White Lies”) is directing “Don’t Knock Twice”
from a script by Emmy nominated writing duo Mark Huckerby (“Howl”) and Nick
Ostler (“Howl”).
The
film is being produced by Red & Black Films' award-winner John Giwa-Amu
(“The Machine,” “The Call Up”) and Seymour Films' Claire Moorsom.
Content
Media is handling worldwide sales rights to “Don’t Knock Twice.” Content’s
President of Film, Jamie Carmichael, serves as Executive Producer.
“Don’t
Knock Twice” is financed by Altara, Ffilm Cymru Wales, the Media Investment
Budget, partnered with Pinewood and Content Media. Cardiff based Red
& Black Films is the first Welsh company to benefit from the Media
Investment Budget, which is funding a significant proportion of the
production’s budget. The Welsh Government is providing an additional grant and
Ffilm Cymru Wales provided support from an early stage with development
funding.
Lucy
Boynton is represented by talent agency United Agents. Nick Moran is
represented by The Artists Partnership and the Gersh Agency in LA.

in the UK iTunes charts and number 5 in USA and Germany. The film had its’
world premier in Tribeca, won a British Independent Film Award, Best
Sci-Fi and Best Actress at Toronto After Dark, Three BAFTAs
Cymru including Best Film and Best UK Feature of the Raindance Film
Festival. Red and Black’s direct distribution campaign for the UK,
partnered with Content, won the Screen Award 2014.
The
company’s first feature LITTLE WHITE LIES saw Caradog nominated
as best New Director at BIFA, Official Selection at Moscow and won two BAFTA
Cymru Awards. John’s been nominated for the Screen Nation Award twice and is an

Supernatural
thriller DON'T KNOCK TWICE is scheduled for production July 2015 starring Katee
Sackhoff (Oculus, Riddick, Battlestar Galactica). The film is being directed by
Caradog James, co-produced with Seymour Films and has been scripted by Emmy
nominated writing duo Huckerby and Ostler.
In
2014 Ffilm Cymru Wales selected Red and Black Films for a company support award
to further expand the business and they continue to develop a high-concept
slate of film and television weighted towards elevated genre.

Cannes 2015
