World, Chris Pratt was CURSED by Rae Dawn Chong!
Mad Monster's special guest Rae Dawn Chong has not only starred in over
70 movies and TV shows (Commando, Quest for Fire, The Color Purple, Tales from
the Darkside, etc.) but her directorial debut, Cursed Part 3 (2000), featured
Chris Pratt in his very first credited role! A 19-year-old Pratt was waiting
tables at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company restaurant in Maui when he was
discovered by Rae Dawn Chong who cast him in her horror-comedy. As you know,
Pratt has risen to super-stardom in hits like Parks and Recreation, Guardians
of the Galaxy, The Lego Movie and Jurassic World. Rae Dawn Chong will be
joining us for Mad Monster Party, Phoenix, May 8th-10th where she'll be meeting
fans, signing autographs and telling stories. We'll also be screening the film
that started it all for Chris Pratt, Cursed Part 3, marking it's 15-year
anniversary.
