On
Monday March 2nd, TheHorrorShow.TV – the UK’s home of horror on demand – will
unleash yet another UK exclusive, as Paul Bunnell’s affectionate homage to
1950s teensploitation flicks, The Ghastly Love of Johnny X, lands at “the go-to
site for the very best in contemporary horror” (M.J. Simpson).
Beautifully
photographed on the last of Kodak’s discontinued 35mm black-and-white Plus-X
film stock, this mad, midnight-movie concoction blends 1950s teensploitation
flicks with classic sci-fi, and tops it off with wacky musical numbers à
la Rocky
Horror!
Former
Troma star Will Keenan (Chop) and Creed Bratton (The Office) star in this
outlandish tale of an alien juvenile delinquent banished to self-destructive
planet Earth for punishment. There he interacts with humans and tries to
retrieve his stolen, all-powerful “resurrection suit.” With Kate Maberly (Finding
Neverland),
Paul Williams (Phantom of the Paradise) and Kevin McCarthy (Invasion of the
Body Snatchers).
With dark humor and music throughout, The Ghastly Love of Johnny
X delivers a unique blend of hip genre moviemaking
and timeless entertainment for what is sure to become a motion picture classic.
The
Ghastly Love of Johnny X arrives at TheHorrorShow.TV on Monday!
