Cherie
Drew is tormented by the little neighbor girl. Young Maggie Kerr is in her
flowerbed, in her yard, in her house, even in her dreams. Over the course of
one surreal night, Maggie takes Cherie on a horrific journey where the past and
future collide with a startling revelation.

"Gina
Ranalli is something of a minimalist. Her books tend to be short but precise
and sharp. This particular tale is rooted in a kind terror you can only find in
reality. Simple, sad, and poignant, you'll find yourself leaving this book with
a bundle of complex emotions. It's a disturbing book, but not without value.
It's modern, and yet it also evokes classic horror films like The Changeling
and The Amityville Horror, though more raw, more visceral. One of my favorite
scenes is, early on, when Cherie discovers an army of frogs overtaking her bed and
travels back to her childhood. It gets icky from there."
