Media Acquires International Sales Rights to Dark Factory’s Gritty Female
Revenge Thriller “Reversal” on Heels of Sundance World Premiere; Will Introduce
Film to Foreign Buyers for the First Time in Berlin
Berlin,
Germany – February 5, 2015 – Continuing to bolster its international sales
slate on the eve of the EFM, Content Media announced today that it
has acquired international sales rights to Dark Factory’s “Reversal,” the
gritty female revenge thriller that just premiered to great fanfare at the
Sundance Film Festival.
Content
will be introducing and screening “Reversal” to international distributors for
the first time at the European Film Market (EFM) in Berlin this week.
Content’s

José
Manuel Cravioto directed the film, which stars up-and-coming actress Tina Ivlev
(“The Devil’s in the Details”) as Eve, a tough young woman fighting to escape a
malicious abductor. However, after discovering she may not be the only victim,
Eve unravels a darker truth and decides to turn the tables on her captor.
Richard Tyson (“There’s Something About Mary”) co-stars.
Rock
Shaink Jr. and Keith Kjornes wrote the film’s screenplay with Dark Factory’s
Daniel Posada and Rodolfo Marquez producing alongside Alex Garcia of AG
Studios.
“Reversal”
premiered in the “Park City at Midnight” section of this past Sundance Film
Festival, after which IFC Midnight quickly acquired U.S. distribution rights to
the film.
“Reversal”
is the first film produced under the Dark Factory banner, which also recently
filmed “One Shot,” starring Topher Grace and Anne Heche, in Mexico. The
production company has lined up another horror film with Cravioto, “100 Cries
of Horror,” which is slated to begin this year.
“Reversal”
joins Content Media’s impressive international sales slate heading into Berlin,
which includes two highly anticipated documentaries which also premiered in
Sundance - Academy Award® winning director Alex
Gibney’s documentary “Going Clear: Scientology and The Prison of

return romantic comedy “The Surprise”; “Janis: Little Girl Blue” directed by Academy®
Award nominated Amy Berg; the spy thriller “Newcomer” starring James
Floyd and Anthony LaPaglia; the Caradog James directed supernatural
thriller 'Don't Knock Twice'; the supernatural heist thriller “The Trust”; the
extraordinary, moving and white-knuckle drive with one of the greatest movie
stars of all time documentary “Steve McQueen: The Man & Le Mans”; Oscar Wilde's “The Canterville Ghost” voiced by Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie; and
the romantic comedy “Comet” starring Justin Long and Emmy
Rossum.
