After
the prior success of award-winning short films Hushed and Zombie Bohemia, Writer/Director
Vince Brando is happy to announce that he is back at it again. After a two year
hiatus, Brando has returned with Balls for Brooklyn, a dark and twisted horror/comedy.
BfB follows a group of friends who leave their jobs behind to go for their
dreams as culinary geniuses. Issues arise when friends and acquaintances start
dropping dead around them. Coincidence or should they go into mortuary services
instead?
With
a deft touch of the macabre, BfB promises gross-out humor and tips its hat to
the tales of the Brothers Grimm.
Balls
for Brooklyn is currently in pre-production, with principal photography set to
begin this spring in Brooklyn, NY. Artist/actor Shawn James, who fans may
remember from Zombie Bohemia, is reuniting with Brando in a starring role.
Balls for Brooklyn also pairs Brando back up with a stellar team: Director of
Photography Chris Magdalenski (Hushed, Zombie Bohemia), Assistant Director
Crystal Hunkin (Hushed), and Audio Engineer Brian Chickerino (Hushed, Zombie
Bohemia).
This
film is expected to play on the film festival circuit late 2015 and 2016, with
a hope for distribution shortly following.
