EVIL
DEAD THE MUSICAL brings Las Vegas production to SLC
Stars
of the Show Shine at Record-Breaking Convention
LAS
VEGAS - September 11, 2014 The stars of EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL at V Theater
inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino were proud to be a part of this
past weekend's Salt Lake City Comic Con, the largest convention in Utah and the
3rd largest comic convention in the world.
With over 120,000 fans attending the 3 day event, SLC was the center of
all-things comics and comics-related in the American southwest. It was so
large, in fact, that on Saturday the con itself was shut down several times as
the building had reached capacity.
EVIL
DEAD THE MUSICAL is a regular guest at the SLC Comic Con events, and to
celebrate the convention's second year the cast and crew of the hit Las Vegas
show brought the entire production to SLC - a fact that was held as a special
surprise for attendees until right before the date of the convention itself.
On
Friday the cast arrived at the convention in full force and surprised fans with
an unannounced appearance on the convention floor. The group posed for
pictures, hung out with fans, and signed autographs.
On
Saturday the cast returned again for some more photo opportunities including an
extended photo session with Bruce Campbell at the start of the day.
The
full performance of the show was presented on Friday and Saturday, with fans
lining up afterwards to get a pic with the cast as well as get autographs.
"Once we knew we were coming back to the convention this year, we
wanted to do something special," said Sirc Michaels, producer of EVIL DEAD
THE MUSICAL. "Being able to bring the entire production to Salt Lake City
and present it as a special event in conjunction with the convention was
exactly the sort of thing we were looking to do."
