After a seemingly unprovoked attack starts the world onto the path of devastation one lone group of friend's band together to survive through the Zombie Apocalypse. They create a camp in which they can raise their kids and hopefully survive long enough to one day start rebuilding their world. Camp H, as they have affectionately come to call their new home standing for Hope or Human depending who you ask. Camp H is a small part of a neighborhood on the outskirts of Tallahassee, Florida. It is perfectly situated where the surrounding area provides them the protection and the resources to make it day to day. They push each other every day trying to wait out the end of the world in hopes that one day they will be able to leave and start over again. They will face a perfect storm of conditions that will push them to their limits.
One girl named Hope in the camp is trying to adapt to a life she never imagined possible. Being 18 now, Hope should be going to college and learning to make her way in the world. Instead she has to learn to survive in a world that quite literally is ready to chew her up. She along with her two siblings, a younger sister and brother, has had to forgo the typical learning environment of school, puberty, and young crushes. They have instead had to learn survival skills in order to make it one day to the next. All this is preparing Hope, who is unaware of her greater destiny, to one day be the Hope for Mankind.
While the residents of Camp H are surviving in Florida one lone man up against immense odds executes a plan of eradication on the unending hordes of undead that the news media nicknamed Slabs since the first ones rose up off the morgue slabs to devour the human population. He uses his skills honed through the years as a member of the Navy SEALs to put down as many of the slabs as he can in the hopes that he will stop them before they destroy the human race. He has his own reasons for what he does and where he goes and will stop at nothing to see his quest through to the end.
Scattered throughout the world a group of people, part of a secret society who have had their hand in all the affairs of the worlds governments for many years, are trying to gather together to address the situation they have found themselves in. Being used to living a lavish yet secret lifestyle they yearn to put the pieces back together of a broken world so they can once again regain their lofty positions and continue to play their role as the puppeteers of mankind.
The paths of some of these survivors will cross and lives will be lost, destroyed and changed. Will they have the strength to continue? Will their goals change? Nothing will be the same when the truth comes out.
