Weirdsmobile
Productions, the Los Angeles-based production company behind the upcoming
horror-comedy feature film CHASTITY BITES, is proud to debut their music video
for TL Forsberg’s single “Liquid Love.” The video, in which Forsberg portrays
an Elizabeth Bathory-esque character, will go live on YouTube on Bathory’s
birthday, August 7, via this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXtNYZ1sMAE.
Bathory,
also known as “the Blood Countess,” was a noblewoman and horrific serial killer
in the 16th and 17th centuries in Eastern Europe. According
to historical records, she killed more than 600 young women during her reign of
terror, as she believed that bathing in virgin blood helped maintain her youth
and beauty. Bathory is also the villainess in Weirdsmobile’s upcoming feature
film, CHASTITY BITES.
TL
Forsberg is a Canadian-born singer, actor and fashion stylist who embraces her
deafness and uses avant-garde fashion and sign language in her musical
performances. Her music and life story are currently featured in the groundbreaking
film SEE WHAT I’M SAYING: THE DEAF ENTERTAINERS DOCUMENTARY, and she is a
winner of the prestigious Pearl Award for her innovative work as an artist in
the Deaf community. She has toured and performed her music for enthusiastic
deaf and hearing audiences all over the world. TL can currently be seen playing
the role of “Olivia” on ABC Family’s SWITCHED AT BIRTH.
Weirdsmobile
was founded in 2005 by husband-and-wife team John V. Knowles and Lotti Pharriss
Knowles. Their feature film CHASTITY BITES, which stars Allison Scagliotti
(SyFy’s WAREHOUSE 13) and Francia Raisa (ABC Family’s THE SECRET LIFE OF THE
AMERICAN TEENAGER), is currently in post-production. Weirdsmobile has also
produced the short films SHADOW.NET and WEAK SPECIES, numerous commercials and
music videos, and the annual event VAMPIRE-CON FILM FESTIVAL at New Beverly
Cinema.
Weirdsmobile
approached Forsberg about creating a video after seeing her in SEE WHAT I’M
SAYING. Forsberg and “Liquid Love” co-writer Glenn Jordan created an original
remix of the song specifically for the video. The video also has a
closed-captioned version for Deaf and hard of hearing audiences.
“We
are very excited that we got to work with TL on this, and that she was open to
us bringing our horror sensibility to the video,” says director John V.
Knowles. “We’ve been a little obsessed with Countess Bathory lately, and when
we listened to the dark and suggestive lyrics of ‘Liquid Love,’ we felt that
character was a perfect fit.”
