"The Walking Dead" at Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights 23

There's something in the woods and it grows stronger every day. Descend into madness at the nation's premier Halloween event, Halloween Horror Nights® 23. On select nights now–Nov. 2, the biggest names in horror transform Universal Studios Florida® into your worst nightmares. From AMC's The Walking Dead, to Resident Evil, Evil Dead, and more, there's nowhere to hide. Fight for your life through nightmarish haunted houses, outrageous live shows, and a brand-new The Walking Dead street experience—only at Universal's Halloween Horror Nights 23. Are you prepared to face the evil that has taken root?

Walk in the footsteps of the survivors as Season 3 of AMC’s horror hit relentlessly attacks you from all sides. Stay alert—walkers could trap you anywhere along your journey from the town of Woodbury to the claustrophobic confines of the derelict prison.

THE WALKING DEAD: THE UNDEAD STREETS

AMC's The Walking Dead has overtaken the streets of Universal Studios®. From Atlanta to the forests and into Woodbury, you’ll have to fight your way through some of the most iconic locations in the show if you want to survive the night.

THE FALL OF ATLANTA
The smell of death is in the air as you make your way past an iconic tank, sandbag barriers, and decayed rotting corpses on your journey through this decimated city. But be warned—the city’s not empty.

WOODLANDS
Tread carefully through these woods, as you never know who you might encounter. Lurking deep in the hidden depths are unforgettable scenes and characters from Seasons 1, 2 and 3.

SURVIVOR’S CAMP
There’s no one telling ghost stories at this derelict campsite, but there are plenty of undead. Will you dare to go closer to the eerily abandoned RV? Keep your wits about you or you might become a ghost story yourself.

THE FARM
Something’s burning and it’s not a Sunday roast. Gasoline fumes ignite your senses as you encounter the smoldering remains of a singed country farm. See and smell the putrid barn, the red tractor, and more as you learn what’s causing that horrifying stench.

CLEAR
Turn around and live—proceed and face your fate. Stick together as you head down this street, because the spiked barriers are there for a reason. If you refuse to heed the spray-painted warnings, you’re in for a terrifying walk that will feel like an eternity.

"An American Werewolf in London" at HHN 23

BEWARE THE MOON…

HORROR FILM ICON “AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON” TO BECOME
ALL-NEW HAUNTED HOUSE AT UNIVERSAL ORLANDO’S
HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS 23

Orlando, FL (August 16, 2013) – You can feel someone…or something…following you. But it’s already too late. The hair rising on the back of your neck is the last thing you feel before you’re ripped limb from limb by the blood-thirsty beast...

This fall, the terrifying classic “An American Werewolf in London” will become an all-new haunted house at Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights 23. Universal Orlando’s Entertainment team is partnering with the film’s critically-acclaimed writer and director John Landis to create a disturbingly-real haunted house experience that pays homage to one of the greatest lycanthropic stories ever told.

The iconic film follows two American college students, Jack and David, as they backpack across the moors of England. On a misty, full-moon night, the men are attacked by a supernatural creature that kills Jack and taints David with its horrific curse. When the full moon rises again, the killing spree continues, and this time, the blood is on David’s hands.

Beginning September 20, guests will step inside the film and experience a retelling of the horror classic – from the attack on the English moors to the hospital nightmares to witnessing the bone-crunching transformation of David from human to bloodthirsty werewolf.   Guests will encounter David’s vicious werewolf form as he wreaks bloody chaos through London’s subway tunnel, Piccadilly Circus and more.

“It’s terrific that guests will be able to actually experience some of the scarier scenes from the film,” said John Landis, writer and director of “An American Werewolf in London.”  “I had fun working with the Universal team to bring one of my more insane movies to life.”

“’An American Werewolf in London’ is a must-see for any true horror fan,” said Mike Aiello, Creative Director for Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights.  “The haunted maze mirrors John Landis’ horrifying story and having him work with us in the creative process was really the only way this could authentically come to life.”

Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights 23 runs select nights from Sept. 20 to Nov. 2.  For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando.

La Llorona Comes to Life at HHN 23

¿DÓNDE ESTÁN MIS HIJOS?

HORRIFYING MEXICAN LEGEND, LA LLORONA, COMES TO LIFE AT
UNIVERSAL ORLANDO’S HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS 23

Orlando, FL (August 13, 2013) – Her legend is one of tragedy…of murder.  To hear her mournful cries sends chills down your spine colder than the murky, watery depths she drowned her victims within.  Forced to eternally walk the earth, she seeks others to share her pain and suffering – now and forever…

Guests will come face to face with the 500-year old legend that has haunted millions of people in Latin America for generations, as the popular Mexican legend La Llorona comes to life as a haunted house at Universal Orlando Resort's Halloween Horror Nights 23.

It will begin when guests enter an old Mexican chapel where they hear La Llorona’s horrifying tale of murder, tragedy and fatal love. Guests step into the funeral of her victims, and as they progress, they’ll hear her cold, ghostly whisper that announces her presence.

“La Llorona’s intriguing and tragic story has been terrifying people in Mexico and all over Latin America for centuries,” said Mike Aiello, Creative Director for Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights.  “And now at Halloween Horror Nights, you will be transported into her mysterious realm and experience firsthand this disturbing folktale.”

On select nights from Sept. 20 to Nov. 2, guests’ worst nightmares will be unleashed as evil takes root at Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights 23. This year, some of the most outrageously terrifying, highly-recognizable names in entertainment and pop culture will become startlingly real horror experiences – including AMC’s “The Walking Dead” and critically acclaimed horror films “Evil Dead” and “The Cabin in the Woods.”

Universal Orlando’s award-winning Halloween Horror Nights event is consistently named the nation’s best and transforms Universal Studios Florida into a realm of movie-quality haunted houses, incredible live shows and streets filled with hundreds of horrifying “scareactors.”

More details will be revealed soon. Tickets and vacation packages are on sale now and can be purchased at Halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando.
