Welcome
to the Special Christmas Flash Fiction Competition. It's really simple, pick
one of the available images below - only one entry per image, so make sure you
note down a 2nd or 3rd choice. Email your choice through to
darkchapterpress@gmail.com - within 24 hrs you will get a confirmation email
back, or a list of available slots if your first choice is taken.
Once
assigned, write a piece of flash fiction up to 1,000 words in length and email
it to that same address above with:
DreAdvent_"Title"_"Your Name" in the subject line.
After a quick edit and format session, your story will go live as soon as
possible in December, and where possible, we will post the stories on seperate
days. Cut off for the receipt of entries is 14th December 2014 at 23:59
GMT, so you have to get in there fast.
A
winner will be selected from all entries received by the cut off date - the
winner gets a £10 Amazon e-voucher.
How
to enter: submit your story and a short biography (including links to your
website, Facebook page, Twitter account and blog etc - whatever you want readers
to follow to find out more about you), as a Word Doc, to the following email
address:
The
subject line should read: Nov Flash_(your story title)_(Your name)
Also
be certain to make it clear if you want the story to be featured with a pen
name in place.
There
are a few rules to stick to:
1.Only
one entry per person.
2.The
story must not be longer than 1000 words.
3.Submissions
must be received by 23:59 London time, 14th December 2014.
4.By
submitting the story you grant Dark Chapter Press a non-exclusive license to
post the story on this site/blog and the Dark Chapter Newsletter Dark Deeds.
5.The
story must be your own work, not previously published and you are liable for
any copyright infringement/trademark violation/plagiarism action should you
fail to meet this requirement.
6.
Upon submission you also grant Dark Chapter Press a one time non-exclusive
license to include the story in an e-book release.
7.
The judge/panel’s decision is final.
8. Runners-up may be featured on this site, the blog, the newsletter or
within one of the e-books (as per point 4 above and the additional info below)
later at Dark Chapter Press’s discretion (so even if you don’t win or get
placed as a notable entry, we may feature your story later if we really like
it).
