From
the director…
I’ve always been intrigued by the characters and lore surrounding the
“Wild West” and Gold Rush communities, where people from all walks of life converge
in an unsettled area, and are forced to interact, grow and work together. The
results are often tumultuous and violent, resulting in the formation of
“codes,” strange customs and superstition in place of the laws of traditional
society. Who enforces these un- written rules and what are the consequences if
somebody breaks the code for their own selfish purposes? Can fate, karma or
spirits come back to haunt wrong- doers? These themes influenced the characters
and story of “The Prospector’s Curse.”
